COMPANY HISTORY
Established in 1985 as an artesian water well company
installing residential wells with submersible pumping
systems, Winslow Pump & Well, Inc. is a family owned
and operated business with a proud heritage and
excellent reputation.
In 1989 the company entered the
field of Geothermal Technology, attending several
factory schools and certification programs.
After installing numerous geothermal systems, Winslow
Pump & Well, Inc. began hosting a factory training
school for local heating contracting companies,
instructing the loop field design/ installation part
of the course.
In 1992 Winslow Pump & Well
formed a Geothermal Division within the company and
began installing geothermal commercial systems in
various states along the East Coast.
Winslow Pump & Well has
continually promoted geothermal awareness through
lectures and training classes for local utilities (BG&E,
PEPCO,
SMECO,
VA Power), trade organizations (IGSHPA,
International Live TV Teleconference,
National Ground Water Conference,
ASHRAE Engineering Convention, and
Maryland-Delaware Water Well Association Convention),
and the general public (open house, field days and
trade fairs).
Winslow Pump & Well is active in
legislative matters and played a part in the Maryland
permit laws, Delaware regulations for geothermal loop
field systems and the
National Ground Water Certification Exam.
Our company is an advocate for
renewable energy and energy conservation. In the
water well division, Winslow Pump & Well promotes
energy efficient variable speed water pumps and the
use of solar and wind powered pumping systems in some
applications.
Winslow Pump & Well takes great
pride in providing a quality product while protecting
our environment for future generations.
The company has been involved
with the development and testing of various drilling
and installation tooling for geothermal and water well
systems, including collaboration with the
Department of Energy,
Sandia Laboratories,
MIT,
and the
University of Alabama.
DRILLING AND SUPPORT
EQUIPMENT
Winslow Pump & Well, Inc.
maintains a fleet of mud top head drive drilling rigs
with a military-type preventative maintenance program.
The drill rigs vary in size to meet various drilling
conditions that may be encountered. Support
equipment include, excavators, backhoes, trenchers,
bobcats, compactors, eighteen wheeler with water
tankers up to 9,000 gallons.

Our company is headquartered in
Hollywood, Maryland, drilling water wells in Southern
Maryland.
The Commercial Geothermal
Division service areas include Maryland, Delaware,
Virginia and North Carolina.
